The purpose of the series of AFPM conferences is to strengthen the interactions within the community of chemists, material engineers, physicists, biologists and clinicians in the development of Advanced Functional Polymers for Medicine. The current status, challenges and requirements for future developments of polymers for medicine are presented by leading experts. One established highlight of the conference series is the poster session for young scientists, which provides an outstanding opportunity for them to discuss their findings with the renowned senior researchers.
Highlights from the Institute‘s research will be presented by Prof. Lendlein, head of the institute, on Thursday at 11:00. His talk is entitled „Designing Materials with Multiple Functions with regard to structure-function as well as function-function relations”. The Institute is well represented at this highly relevant conference with posters from Dr Marc Behl, Dr Markus Reinthaler, Dr Rainhard Machatschek, Makafui Yao Folikumah, Xianlei Sun, Zijun Deng, and Hanieh Moradien.
