The Institute of Biomaterial Science was pleased to have hosted a meeting of the AGBR committee for education and training from 3rd-5th April 2019. The fundamental goals and tasks of the AGBR are to organise the exchange of information and experiences between the works councils, and to provide statements on research policy. In total, around 30 representatives of the works councils from the Helmholtz Association, Leibniz Association, the Fraunhofer Society, and Max Planck Society took part, around half of whom were representatives of young people and apprentices. Prof. Andreas Lendlein, head of the Institute, greeted the representatives and, in between discussions, the participants learnt about the Institute´s work.
