How to reach the Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht
The Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht is located about 30 kilometers southeast of Hamburg.

Important information for users of satellite navigation:
Please note that some route planners will direct you wrong if you follow the directions to "Max-Planck-Straße". For a correct navigation please use "Geesthacht / Grüner Jäger" as your destination.
Coming from Geesthacht:
By using the B5 to Lauenburg follow the street another 300 meters and turn right into "Max-Planck-Straße".
Coming from Lauenburg:
Please follow the signs about 300 metres before reaching "Grüner Jäger".
Journey by Public Transport
Whether from Hamburg main station or Airport Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel airport: By public transport you can reach us via various routes.
If you arrive by bus, please get off at the entrance, the bus stop "Geesthacht, Helmholtz-Zentrum (Eingang)", and contact the colleagues there.
Please note: Visitors registered for the HZG-turnstile "Tesperhude" can take the bus to the stop "Tesperhude, Strandweg" and walk about five minutes on foot to the turnstile in Reaktorstraße. Please use our area plan for this.
