Summer School on Coastal Research: Climate Change and Impact in the North Sea

This annual Coastal Summer School on Coastal Research is organized by the Alfred-Wegener Institute, the Helmholtz Centre Geesthacht, the Baltic Sea Research Institute, and the Research and Technology Centre Westcoast. Twenty students are invited to learn about modern coastal research by the leading experts in the four organizing research centres.

Subjects are: Global and Regional Climate Change, the North Sea System, Operational Oceanography, Trends in Oceanographic Data, Trends in marine mammal, fish and plankton communities, Climate change and coastal protection, coastal zone management.
