459th WE-Heraeus-Seminar
30th May – 2nd June, 2010, Bad Honnef, Germany
Degradable Polymers as Biomaterials
Seminar Topics
- Synthesis
- Degradation
- Muiltifunctionality/Stimuli-Responsivity
- Controlled Drug Release Systems
Goals
The main goal of the seminar is to strengthen the interdisciplinary cooperation of chemists, physicists, material engineers, biologists, and physicians in the
development of new biodegradable polymers for biomedical applications.
Furthermore, the discussion between leading scientists in this field will help to identify the great challenges of the future.
In this context, one focus will be to encourage and further junior scientists on the Ph.D., Post-doc, and non-tenured group leader level (Habilitands and Junior Professors) in this field.
