Interface

The research interest of the Department of Interface is focussed on the development of functional polymers with new nano scale properties for applications in the Regenerative Medicine in close collaboration with the departments of Polymer Chemistry, Polymer Technology and Biomaterials. The 3 main research topics in this Department are:

• Functional and stimuli sensitive inter- and surfaces for application in contact with biological systems
• Influence of degradation and storage concerning the properties of resorbable polymers and damage analysis of polymer explants
