The Responsibilities of the Equal Opportunities Officer

• The Equal Opportunities Officer is responsible for promoting the equality of women and men in the workplace. Her job is to supervise the elimination and prevention of any existing or future discrimination on account of gender.
• She creates the conditions to ensure that staff are best able to reconcile the demands of family and working life. (For example, the introduction of childcare service.)
• She is involved in all personnel, organisational or social measures that have a significant bearing on the equality of women and men and on the compatibility of family and working life. In this respect she also provides personal consultation and concrete support to individual colleagues.
